Classes!

Sisters, we are excited to offer 4 informative, fun, and downright awesome Super Saturday classes! Two of the classes will be taught during the 10:00 a.m. hour and the other two will be taught during the 1:00 p.m. hour. Please sign up in the comments below for ONE morning class and ONE afternoon class!

Morning classes

Intro to Family History
taught by Adrienne Dial

You've heard about Family History, you know it's important, but you have NO idea where to start?! Then this class is for you! Adrienne will take you step-by-step through the process of getting started in seeking out your ancestors. She is a fountain of genealogy knowledge, so also come to her with your questions if you have dabbled in family history but are not sure where to go from where you are.

“It is a joy to become acquainted with our forebears who died long ago. Each of us has a fascinating family history. Finding your ancestors can be one of the most interesting puzzles you … can work on” President James E. Faust

Getting Ready for a Working Garden
taught by Brother Bill Mackley

We live in a wonderful area of the world that lends itself to growing a variety of plants and food. Come and learn from an experienced gardener about the do's and don'ts of gardening in our area. Also get some ideas for container gardening in smaller spaces!

“The fulness of the earth is yours…
"Yea, and the herb, and the good things which come of the earth, whether for food or for raiment...or for orchards, or for gardens, or for vineyards;
“Yea, all things which come of the earth … are made for the benefit and the use of man, both to please the eye and to gladden the heart;
“Yea, for food and for raiment, for taste and for smell.” (D&C 59:16–19.)

Afternoon Classes

Intro to Crocheting
taught by Julie Church

Come and have fun learning the skill of crocheting by crocheting your own dishcloth! Yes, even YOU can learn to crochet! Julie is a wonderful teacher, and this class will give you something to come away with (crocheted dishcloths are the best kind!) as well as confidence in your newly found skill to branch out to other things. Or just become a rock star dishcloth crocheter! :)

"Every artist was first an amateur" Ralph Waldo Emerson

Organizing Your Family & Home
taught by Heather Bellon

Have you ever thought of assigning your child a color? How about giving each family member their own towel - just one towel that is theirs instead of washing twenty? Heather has some fabulous ideas for keeping a busy home and family organized. Sign up to hear more about her color-coded, single toweled, amazing system that will help you to feel more in control of your busy life!
